Exhibition design for Kalamazoo Air Zoo’s 17,000 sf. Space Center. The Center includes dozens of inter-active experiences which invite users to experience the challenges of space exploration. Secure in a body harness, one would-be astronaut tries performing

tasks upside down, while another hops craters at 1/6 earth’s gravity in a simulated moonscape. A space lab setting reveals the intricacies of life support aboard the ISS. In other areas, one can operate a full-size accurate replica of Sojourner across a simulation of Mars’ rock-strewn sandy surface. Actual NASA artifacts include an F-1 Saturn rocket engine, a Piasecki HIUP recovery hesuit, moon rock, and more.
